Which container should I use for compressed textures: KTX2 or Basis?

Hi, I’m making an application where I will use basis textures and I’m trying to understand which container is better to use: .basis or .ktx2?

I’d suggest .ktx2. The compression and pixel data is identical (and uses the excellent Basis Universal format), but the .ktx2 container has a standards body involved and will be more future-proof in terms of support from applications. If you’re using glTF models, they will require .ktx2 for compressed textures.
