What’s the difference (besides in usage, as that’s obvious from the docs)? Should we use OBJLoader2 because… it’s a higher number?

OBJLoader2 won’t replace
OBJLoader in the near future since its code and architecture style deviates from most other loaders. In general, you should not use
OBJ as a 3D format anymore since there are way better alternatives like
glTF. Consider to convert your models with obj2gltf or with a DCC tool like Blender. More information right here:
