How to apply scene environment angle?

Hey guys,

I’m sure that the title of my topic is not very descriptive and most likely wrongly targeted, but I can’t come up with anything else.

I have a problem regarding how environment is visible in projection, here I have a model of sofa that seems to be much darker on certain spots (I have now started to using blank white image for tests), I have came up with the idea of rotating object and camera in scene to get better angle for HDR (2nd image as an example). I’m wondering if there are other known ways of such operation?
