# How do you start animating in Three.js/editor/

How do you start animating in Three.js/editor/, I can’t figure it out, and I need help from some one that uses Three.js’ official in web browser editor please.

You need to create a script on an object (right of the screen) and write an update function for it.

is this only for particles?

It works for any kind of object, I just happened to screenshot the particle example. Look at the other examples in the editor for a starting point.

ok, cuz I’m trying to move my model to do a animation for a cutscene, but and a very new beginner to JS coding, but not coding in general.
