I’ve written a simple 3D application that can be driven using Claude desktop. You can add this capability to Claude desktop by downloading and installing this extension:

Installation is easy:
**Open Claude Desktop** → **Settings** → **Extensions** → **Advanced Settings**

1. Click **“Install Extension”**

2. Select the `.mcpb` file (`hello3dmcp-server.mcpb`) from this project

3. **Restart Claude Desktop**

You interact with the 3D app using natural language commands:

the application is built using two halves. There’s the server component, which is used to build the extension that installs into Claude. The project is here:

> MCP server for controlling 3D model visualization via Model Context Protocol

the frontend application can be used as a standalone 3D application without any interaction with Claude desktop and that project is here:

Enjoy,
