Github: download engine *source* only, w/o assets

Hello!

I’m totally new… And I don’t use github very often…

I cannot download source files from github. It seems the release is bundled with some assets (have no idea what they are), and downloads a lot (like >50MB). Am I right? Is there a way to really get the source only?

Thank you! I got the src directory.

(I was sure I was missing something trivial. Very strange actually. Pretty basic feature, and github didn’t implement it, so other people had to do it… Can’t believe…)
