Fossil Noir — A 2.5D Pixel-Art Action Game

Hi everyone,
I’d like to share Fossil Noir, a browser-based 2.5D pixel-art action game I’ve been developing with JavaScript and Three.js.
The game combines a traditional 2D gameplay layer with a Three.js-powered 2.5D rendering layer. The gameplay, physics and collision system remain on a deterministic 2D plane, while Three.js adds depth to the environments using an orthographic camera, geometry, lighting, materials and WebGL rendering.
The goal was to preserve the sharp retro pixel-art aesthetic while giving environments more physical depth without changing the underlying gameplay mechanics.
Some features:
8 playable chapters
2D gameplay and collision system
Three.js 2.5D environment rendering
Orthographic camera
Dynamic lighting and environmental depth
Pixel-art rendering and textures
Multiple weapons and enemies
Dinosaurs and rideable creatures
Desktop and touch controls
Runs directly in the browser

Play it here:

I’d be interested in feedback from the Three.js community, particularly on the 2.5D rendering approach, performance and ways I could improve the visual depth while keeping the pixel-art style.
Thanks for taking a look!
