Floor shadow size

If there any issue I need to consider if I just make my floor huge to catch shadows? e.g.

this.floor = new Mesh(new THREE.PlaneBufferGeometry(2000, 2000), new THREE.ShadowMaterial());

I assume I would need to set the lights shadow camera to match.

I did think about simply making it slightly bigger than the bounding box of the model, but if a user drags a mesh around, then I would have to keep updating the floor as well as the light which I would want to avoid.

Is having it huge a daft idea?
