A 3D language learning website built with R3F, Rapier, and Drei

Hi everyone,

I built a project called Lexi Explorer, a free web app for learning languages through interactive 3D environments.

Live site: https://lexiexplorer.com

The core idea is simple: instead of memorizing words in isolation, you explore 3D environment (city, house, classroom, etc.) and click on objects to learn vocabulary in context.

Tech stack:

  • React Three Fiber (R3F)

  • Rapier (physics)

  • Drei

  • React Router

3D assets made in Blender.

What’s in it:

  • 5 interactive environments

  • Spanish, French, German, Italian

  • Personal vocabulary dictionary built from what you discover

  • Sentence practice

  • Audio pronunciation and Speaking practice

  • Mini games and Flashcards

It runs directly in the browser on both desktop and mobile.
