Hey everyone! I built a web-based 3D atelier to showcase some of my hand-made garments. It’s designed to be interactive while keeping accessibility in mind, as much as possible in a 3D experience. I used my vanilla-aria-modals utility to handle all ARIA standards, managing focus and keyboard navigation.
The project lies at the intersection of fashion, design, and software engineering. It is quiet in presentation but detailed in craftsmanship, much like bespoke garment making.
You can check it out at https://thread-and-mesh.com/, watch a short summary video, or explore the code and read the documentation. Most of what I explain in the video is already in the docs.
I’d love any feedback, especially on A11y. I’ve been self-taught in web development for the past two years, so I’m particularly interested in suggestions on improving accessibility and following WAI-ARIA guidelines, as well as feedback on 3D web development, which I started exploring recently. Thanks in advance for taking a look!
